Making the vision come true...
Despite limited resources, and in the midst of a continual and prolonged struggle for survival, the workshop has succeeded, thanks to its vision and peoples' strength of belief, in fulfilling most of its aims and in establishing itself as a national and international art centre with decisive artistic and cultural significance.

Today it is becoming very clear that our budget can no longer support the framework of our activities. We invest endless effort in the search for ways and means for funding to enable us to continue and to fulfill our aims, to carry on our various activities and expand them and to ensure the continued existence of the Workshop as an artistic and cultural focus for the coming years.

Raising funds for establishing an Educational Centre for the Art of Printmaking
On the basis of the existing learning activities it is our wish to raise funds that will enable us to expand the existing activities and establish within the framework of the Workshop, a unique learning centre for the learning of the techniques and history of printmaking. The Workshop has just received the ground floor of the building in which it is situated. We are now faced with the task of raising funds in order to adapt it to the expanding activities of the educational center.

We hope that the new educational centre will widen the possibilities for different communities from Jerusalem and Israel to become familiar with what is done at the Workshop by means of tours, lectures and guided instruction. In this framework we aim to open the studies to pupils from different schools in the city and pupils with special needs. The lessons will be both theoretical and practical and will offer special courses for teachers. The teachers at the centre will be the printing staff of the Workshop together with researchers, lecturers from the field of Art History and artists working at the Workshop. The gallery, the library and the archives of the Workshop will be at the students' disposal for the period of their studies.
