In the dream of establishing the Workshop there was also the vision of building a place where it would be possible to preserve and perpetuate the tradition of the Hebrew printmaking in Jerusalem and in Israel. During its 37 years, the Workshop has accumulated rare, old printing presses.

One of the presses in the Workshop today is dated 1854 and had been bought by Yoel Moshe Salomon, in Monassa in Italy, in order to print the well-known newspaper, "Halevanon" at the Hebrew printing house that he established in Jerusalem in 1863. Together with the practical and historical preservation of the old techniques of printmaking, the Workshop tirelessly attempts to develop new technologies and it possesses several important innovations.

The Workshop facilities feature a variety of presses and other printmaking equipment. The generously sized space of Workshop includes a large main hall, 2 etching rooms, a lithography room, a screenprinting room and an office. Two galleries are housed upstairs and downstairs.
